Veronaville Central School

Hey everyone! Yes I am still alive, I've just been busy. I also haven't done much with the Azures lately. I'm sorry but the next chapter is just sitting there I have poked at it then quickly stop and switch on to another neighborhood. I have been playing around a bit in the premade neighborhoods. Veronaville was the first one I did. I haven't messed anything up too much yet. Just some babies were born, a couple birthdays, there was one wedding (no it wasn't Romeo and Juliette, they are still teens at the moment). And I moved in a couple families. I was going through each household checking interests, personalities, genetics, family ties and whatnot. (Mostly to record them on an excel so i don't have to keep checking SIMPE). When i decided that Veronaville needed a School (which also gave me an excuse to use more of my uniforms) and a performance Theatre (it does reference Shakespeare after all). So I did.
When it came to me thinking about Veronaville Central School, I imagined a large school that looked a bit creepy and had an old fashioned feel but still looked pretty. And , of course they have uniforms XD. You will see some Sims because I was testing the lot out, sorry about if plumbbobs.

Here is the School's main entrance, it is pretty with the flora and the fountain sculptures but the doors and the outer walls give it that old fashioned/ a bit creepy feel. In the third picture You can see the school uniforms (I used the non logo versions of these). The two kids in the front are Kaito (4th grader, left) and Ayaka (7th grader, right).
They are two kids of the Kage family (family I made for Veronaville that I came up with a bit of a story for. The kids moved to Veronaville from Takemizu with their parents and are trying to adjust to their life here in Veronaville [among all the craziness of the plot of Veronaville] compared to Takemizu. I'll go into more detail another time.)

This is the School's entrance halls (no lockers in the entrance like the other schools I have built)

Which Ayaka wants to comment that she thinks its a bit creepy. Like a ghost could pop out at any second.

But at least little brother Kaito was there to make things slightly less creepy (he did this on free will it was awesome! and Ayaka was cracking up). Yes the two kids have elf ears, they may or may not be distant relatives of the Summerdreams (I haven't decided yet).

The hallways and stairs continue the old fashioned look. I wanted to give it a bit of a "Hogwarts Corridor" feel, with wood instead of stone/brick (please ignore the white ceilings... I was too lazy to change them and the game doesn't usually cooperate with me on that anyway).

The classrooms for the 1st through 12th grades are pretty much the same Save for slight changes in the floors and walls.

Each classroom has old fashioned desks and chairs, 1 large chalkboard in the front (technically two chalkboards [put together using move_objects) and a smaller one to the side (The lower grades have green ones while the higher grades have black ones), teacher's desk and chair, old fashioned bookshelves, a back table (for projects or other displays) and they have shoe and coat racks in the classrooms.

These racks in the classrooms intrigue Ayaka Kage since her old school had lockers in the entrance hall not racks in the classrooms.

The classrooms for Preschool and Kindergarten are the only really slightly cheery rooms here in Veronaville Central.

They have their own bathrooms as well.

The central school actually has two (small) gymnasiums.

An indoor pool.

And a small soccer field.

The changing rooms/showers

The bathrooms

The Art room

The music room

The chorus room

Two lab rooms

The main office

The nurse's office

The principal's room.

The kitchen is pretty much on it's own. My original thought was that the food was made in the kitchens then classroom volunteers would bring it the class meals to their classrooms. Then I remembered that there were three floors and no elevators at Veronaville Central.

So then I decided to do what they did at my primary school, turn the gym into a cafeteria by placing tables and chairs in it. (I had no room for an actual Cafeteria on this lot)

This was another idea I had, but it looked really weird in the hallways, so i removed it.

The library.

The library has a few computers as well.

and near the end of the computers there was a door that lead to an outer balcony of the school.

As well as a private section.

And because it is Veronaville, the school has a two story Auditorium.

A stage

As well as a small backstage area.

There is also another small plaza in the back of the school, where you can also see the first story roof.

Here's the overall layout: ground floor, second floor, third floor and roof.
So that's the layout, to be honest I looked at several layouts for large schools online and adjusted them to fit on the biggest lot. I do like how it came out though :)
